Salvatore Scafiti was born in Aci Catena (CT), and obtained his first diploma at the Catania Institute of Art, furthering his studies in the Painting section at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Urbino. He is a visual artist of national and international acclaim, specialised in engravings, serigraphy and lithography. He has also taught graphic techniques at the Raffaello Sanzio School in Urbino. In 2002 for Bayer CropScience he created the images for the company’s agricultural chemicals advertising campaign. He is also author of various art books and collaborates with some of the most important Italian scientists and philosophers, in searching for a dialogue between artistic and scientific activities. Leading Italian scientific and intellectual figures have contributed to his catalogues. He has exhibited his works both in Italy and abroad and two of his works were displayed at the 54th Biennale d’Arte in Venice. In 2014, he created the cover for the Spring Fashion insert published by Corriere della Sera.
For the Lunosa laboratory he takes care of the sector dedicated to Frescos, Wall Painting, Walldesign, and technical development.
He lives and works in Peschiera del Garda.
